This is an opportunity to join a top-notch embedded firmware engineering team with Renesas Electronics America’s leading MCU product line. As part of the MCU firmware team in the Industrial and IoT business unit, this engineer will work on next-generation firmware to support our Arm Cortex MCU products. 

 

Job Title: Staff Firmware Engineer

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide FW engineering management to our 3rd Party Partner firmware development teams
  • Lead the development of 32-bit Arm MCU firmware
  • Provide technical oversight on FSP development by other Renesas teams and 3rd party partners
  • Work with Renesas engineering and marketing team members on product definition, requirements, plans & schedules, etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in CS, CE or EE 
  • 12+ years in embedded
  • Experience leading SW development teams, especially 3rd party developers and offshore teams
  • Expert in embedded C
  • Hands-on experience with software engineering processes and tools
  • Excellent communication skills at engineering and management levels
  • FW development for Consumer, Industrial, Medical products
