Job Summary: Staff level IC design engineer with direct experience in switching regulator design and IC driver design for both internal and external MOSFETS. The chosen candidate will design complex integrated circuits that include digital, mixed signal, and analog circuits. The chosen candidate will have proven capability in designing analog blocks with CMOS, BICMOS, and BCD technologies for use in switching regulator systems and other power management functions. A deep understanding of analog design techniques and IC process technologies is required. An understanding of packaging technologies and layout tradeoffs are also required. The candidate must be able to work in a small “startup-like” team environment. Must have a working knowledge of Mixed-Signal Cadence tools and parasitic parameter extraction. Analytical approach to problem solving is highly required. These are leading edge power technology products and provide challenging learning opportunities.


Performance Objectives

• Innovative transistor level design of analog and mixed-signal circuits for new and derivative smart power stages and other power management functions.

• Interface with process, test, product, application, marketing, project management managers and engineers to successfully bring new products from concept to release to production.

• Work with marketing, applications and customers to help define new products

• Perform design feasibility analysis and schedule prediction

• Validation and debug of product designs

• Thorough understanding of integrated circuit design.

• Thorough understanding of bipolar, BiCMOS, and BCD circuit design techniques.

• Thorough understanding of bipolar, BiCMOS, and BCD process technologies.

• Thorough understanding of large power transistor (bipolar and DMOS) design, layout and robustness.

• Proven experience with gate driver circuits and techniques.

• Proven experience in designing amplifiers, oscillators, bandgap references, LDOs, DACs, ADCs, switched capacitor circuits, etc.

• Proven experience with various switch-mode power conversion topologies


Education requirements:

BS with 5 years of experience, MS with 3 years of experience, or Ph.D with 0 years of experience
