Renesas’ Systems & Solutions Team (SST) is looking for talented hardware and software system engineers eager to challenge themselves to design high performance electronics systems for different aspects of life. The SST division is expanding into Milpitas, CA. The SST group is a startup group within the company.  The group’s responsibility is to assist in sales and develop system solutions that utilize Renesas components.

Responsibilities will include:

• Work with business development mangers and sales managers to define a competitive solution for targeted applications
• Help define architecture using Renesas components for targeted applications and marketing segments. 
• Responsible for schematic design, layout and code to create the system solution.

This person will either delegate / oversee each task or will directly complete the task.
• System flow, look and feel of the end solution which also includes documentation and user experience.
• Collaboration with business development managers and product line personal to create smooth solution development cycle 
• Maintaining meaningful relationship with internal teams as well as external partners

Qualifications/Skills:

• Electrical or Computer Engineering degree. Candidates with master’s and Doctorand’s are preferred.  
• 6-8 years of experience working in either hardware, embedded software (firmware), or system roles. Ideally, experience in all roles are preferred.
• All sub disciplines such as RF, analog, digital and power will be considered.
• Experience with choosing components for a system solution is a must.  

• Field application engineer, application engineer and system engineering candidates are preferred.  
• Proven ability to lead and work in cross functional teams in a matrix organization
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Self-starting candidate that is passionate about systems solutions and is results-drive.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information 

• $132,000 - $198,000 annualized salary range (Note: Disclosure as required by SB 1162 (9-27-22) for California) 
• Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. 
• Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
