Renesas is seeking a leader for our Renesas RA & Synergy technical marketing team who has their head in the cloud, feet on the ground, heart in software, and hands on electronics. This team owns all the technical strategy and implementation for the Renesas RA and Synergy (Arm core) product lines solutions, encompassing software, tools, kits, solutions, cloud, security, and documentation. This includes defining the strategy and requirements, coordinating the development process and market launch, as well as preparing and managing the documentation, artifacts, marketing materials, and roll-out and support to the field. This is a role which requires a combination of technical strength, market awareness, and program management skills. 

 

Position: Senior Manager, IOT Technical Product Marketing 

 

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:

  • Manage a global technical marketing team for software, tools, kits, security, and cloud as well as a team of hardware and software documentation writers
  • Set meaningful team and individual objectives, track progress, and review performance
  • Prepare business cases and present to senior management in the business unit in order establish funding needed to develop projects which have been validated with target customers
  • Plan and track project expense budgets
  • Support product new product introduction (NPI) launches with collateral including presentations, white papers, videos, and website content
  • Partner with the engineering team to execute on development of funded projects
  • Collaborate with the business development team to support customer opportunities and convert them into design wins and revenue.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a BSEE or BSCS with an MSCS or MSEE desired; MBA is a plus
  • Experienced manager with 10+ years working in the embedded industry in either software product marketing or embedded software development
  • Knowledge of Arm microcontrollers including silicon features, development tools and software environment
  • Understanding of embedded solutions such as capacitive touch, graphics, security, connectivity, and cloud
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Complete team player with a winning mindset, fluent in English, and a creative problem solver
  • Technical expertise with concrete proficiency in embedded firmware, software and systems technologies such as IoT, cloud, microcontrollers, sensor applications, and wireless communications
  • Exceptional communication skills: presentation delivery, public speaking, and written
  • Ability to create compelling marketing communication materials, including slide sets, white papers, videos, and other collateral
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel when restrictions are lifted
