To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and it includes but is not limited to:

  • Discover, penetrate and drive revenue growth in accounts located in the Peninsula through San Francisco, up through the North Bay.
  • Understand Renesas products, technology and solutions inorder to effectively and clearly articulate features, benefits and competitive advantages
  • Understand customers' applications and requirement to provide timely feedback to key stakeholders
  • Stay current on market trends, competitive landscape and emerging needs within designated geography
  • Be visible in Distributor branches weekly to support and drive new opportunities in the territory through distribution partners resulting in design wins.
  • Identify, prioritize and develop new potential accounts
  • Achieve sales forecast and design win targets for assigned accounts and geography
  • Effectively use CRM tools to create and maintain opportunity funnel
  • Timely follow up on all sales leads and update CRM system



  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • 5+ years selling electronic components
  • Exceptional customer interface and customer service track record
  • Possess strong organizational, time-management, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external contacts and customers
  • Multitask and prioritize workload and determine priorities
  • Generate spreadsheets, reports, data, and other information for presentations
  • Positive attitude, high-energy, results-driven and attentive to details
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships both internally and externally
  • Technical proficiency - must have the technical knowledge to communicate with customer engineers to support design efforts
  • Training proficiency - must have the knowledge, poise, and professionalism to train sale staff (reps and distributors)
  • Must be able to travel within the assigned geography
