The job holder will define business plans, including strategies for EMS-related products, business planning, and solution promotion for the Americas, with an emphasis on Latin America. Based on customers’ needs and his/her understanding of market trends, he/she will define strategy to penetrate focus customers and will promote solutions at these customers. He/she will write product proposals and market requirement documents for solution development, and will be an evangelist at customers and internal to the organization about the solutions.

 

Duties will be enabling sales and FAE resources through training, direct promotion through customer visits and presentations; designing product presentations, technical marketing presentations and sales collateral; supporting the related Marcom activities such as Press releases and trade shows; and will work closely with the Japan based design and product teams. In fulfillment of these responsibilities, the role will require domestic travel and occasional International travel.

 

Education:

  • Degree/Area of Study: BSEE/electrical engineering or similar field/Essential
  • BSEE or equivalent minimum, MSEE desired. MBA is a plus.

 

Experience:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in business development of semiconductor products with a focus on MCUs.

 

Skills:

  • In-depth technical knowledge of MCUs, with a strong understanding of the Smart Energy segment, primarily metering and related wireless and wired communication technologies.
  • A strong ability to understand customers applications and requirements, draw conclusions, advocate Renesas' offer and propose appropriate solutions.
  • The ability to take initiative and push the organization to win new designs and explore new markets.
  • The ability to influence and convince internally and externally.
  • Understanding of technical and business Trends and Competitors Positioning
  • Exceptional communication skills including presentation development, public speaking and written reports
  • Ability to speak Spanish essential
