Renesas is looking for a talented individual for an internship working in the Central Verification team supporting product groups under the Automotive Video and Power Business Division.


Responsibilities Interns will work under the guidance of a mentor to assist in exploring and developing automation approaches to design verification by utilizing natural language processing (NLP) and other emerging technologies. The intern will work on the development of automation proof of concept and infrastructure. This will involve developing code and scripts to auto generate test sequences to accelerate the verification test creation phase. The candidate will use their knowledge and creativity to complete assignments with the existing team.


Desired Skills and Experience Education

· Currently pursuing a BSEE, MSEE or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Minimum Requirements

· Coursework in Electrical Engineering.

· Knowledge in Verilog / SystemVerilog / VerilogAMS and familiar with UNIX environment.

· Coursework in EE fundamentals, analog circuits, and digital logic design.

· Great attitude, self-motivation, and excellent teamwork is a must.


Job Description

· Understand the objectives and workflow of mixed-signal design verification.

· Support activities in setting up testbench in SystemVerilog/VerilogAMS.

· Assist in creating and maintaining models of Analog blocks

· Support coding of simulation infrastructure using SystemVerilog.

· Develop and use advanced automation approaches to accelerate and streamline verification.

· Work diligently to accomplish project goals and meet schedule requirements.

· Drive towards continuous personal, team, project, and Company improvement.

· Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and work closely with team. Must be very organized, self-motivated, and passionate about the work.

· Language skills: Written and verbal English language proficiency is required.

· Tools: Cadence AMS Design Environment and Tool proficiency is preferred.


Additional Information

  • $27.00 - $36.75 hourly pay range (Note: Disclosure as required by SB 1162 (9-27-22) for California)

  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
