This intern will perform design and/or characterization of digital circuits for our PMIC design team. The intern will be expected interface and collaborate cross-functionally with other groups including Applications and Analog Design Engineers. These collaborative efforts may include technical discussions, drafting documentation, designing circuits and writing software.


Specifically, we are looking for a student with academic focus in digital design. Having basic knowledge of Cadence IC design tools and synopsys design tools is beneficial. An analytical approach to problem solving is highly required. The intern will be working on leading edge technology products that provide challenging learning opportunities.




  • Design using Verilog, logic simulation, functional verification, and synthesis of ASICs in a mixed signal environment.
  • Implement RTL modules and work with design team with integration and integrated functional verification.
  • Support activities such as behavioral modeling of analog and mixed signal circuits, test vector generation and lab test development.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • At least a junior (3rd year) working towards BSEE or MSEE/PhD candidate
  • Coursework/Experience in HDL and digital circuit design highly preferred.
    • Classwork/experience with some of the following:  Digital Design, HDL programming, programming python/perl, design for test (scan), Verilog/Synopsys design methodology, transistor-level design.


Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Perl programming a plus.
