Renesas Electronics America is seeking an experienced analog/mixed-signal design engineer to join its automotive video signal processing team at Milpitas, CA. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of designing analog/mixed-signal ICs. This candidate will be designing innovative, high-speed and high-performance blocks targeted for automotive infotainment markets which include high-definition video applications. Integrated circuits designed will include state of the art high-speed equalizers, SERDES, drivers, PLLs, VCOs, LDOs, ADC, DAC and other analog blocks.


  • Participate in understanding the product definition working with the team which include marketing, applications, and customers to understand the device specifications better
  • Apply in-depth understanding of high-speed CMOS and Bi-CMOS circuit design techniques, both existing and those under development, to design innovative IP blocks
  • Transistor level design of high-speed circuits for new and derivative automotive infotainment products
  • Responsible for the architecture, algorithm design, schematic and post layout simulations of various blocks
  • Responsible for guiding and helping various layout engineers in implementation of the optimized layouts
  • Validation and debugging of the designed blocks and fixing of silicon issues


  • Thorough understanding of Integrated Analog Circuit design
  • Thorough understanding of Bipolar, Bi-CMOS and CMOS process technologies and circuit design techniques
  • Thorough understanding of high speed concepts
  • Experience with behavioral block level modeling and analog/mixed-signal verification methodologies
  • Experience with analog/digital interfaces and digital buses
  • Should be competent with Cadence’s analog design environment, schematic capture and SPECTRE, MATLAB and VERILOG A tools. Should be competent in various layout design techniques
  • Highly self motivated and adaptable
  • MSEE with 7+ years (or BSEE with 10+ years) of relevant industry experience with a strong background in analog/mixed-signal design and a proven record of successfully released high speed products
