Job Purpose: 

Define, manage & support: PDK Methodology / PDK delivery / Analog Cockpit to internal teams

 

Dimensions:

The role involves :

- Working with internal PDK team, other CAD teams and Process Engineering department to develop & roll-out flow, foundry PDKs, PDK methodologies, and design components for company-wide use.

- Working with internal as well as external teams to integrate, maintain foundry spice models, integrate Analog simulation tools with infrastructure and manage simulation support for the engineering design teams.

 

The role offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge tools used in this domain.

The role requires very strong EDA skills in all aspects of Analog CAD, EDA Tools, PDK and flow development.

The environment is fast-paced and dynamic with an opportunity to work with experts who enjoy all aspects of EDA activities.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

· Support foundry PDK deployment to various Business units.

· Support design & layout community in design migrations, day-to-day support activities

· Support, develop & maintain components & scripts required for internal PDK, CAD and for general design community use.

· Provide user support for the assigned EDA tools or internal company flows.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

· Very good understanding of CMOS concepts and electronic fundamentals.

· Minimum of 6 years work experience in semiconductor industry, especially EDA segment & CAD

· Good understanding of PDKs(device libraries, techfiles, Analog Simulation, netlisting, spice models, )

· Good knowledge of SKILL, SKILL-Pcells, CDFs, callbacks

· Knowledge of simulations tools, ADE, ADE-XL, Maestro Ocean scripting or equivalent tools.

· Knowledge of UNIX shell, Shell scripting & programming , Excellent grasp of one of Perl or Python.

· Good understanding of Cadence custom IC Virtuoso platform, Virtuoso-L and Virtuoso-XL, schematic capture and layout concepts.

· Experience with working with foundries.

· Good understanding Physical verification including DRC/LVS/Parasitic Extraction

· Experience in working with Device modelling and Physical Verification teams on devices and processes.

· Willingness to gain knowledge and familiarity with several CAD tools

· Comfortable in working in a fast paced , dynamic environment with changing priorities
