To further strengthen our Wireless Power Team at our Harlow locations we are looking for a

AMS Verification Engineer to develop next generation power/mixed signal technologies.

Senior AMS Verification Engineer (d/m/f)


As a Senior AMS Verification Engineer at Renesas, you will work with a highly innovative and motivated design team using state of the art IC technologies to develop the most advanced Wireless Power Charging (WPC) products. You will be challenged by the complexity and difficulty of verifying TX and RX chipsets together with wireless transmission models. You will need to have the ability to work as an AMS Verification Engineer, to evaluate Full chip or block level functionality and provide solutions to help delivery of functionally correct design. You will work closely with Renesas's various design and verification teams all over the world to contribute to the success of the design projects by applying verification tools and techniques, providing verification status and summaries to specific designs as needed.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Active member of the design team, interface to methodology and CAD groups
  • Provide verification support to design projects by simulating, analysing and debugging pre-silicon full chip designs.
  • Develop Test cases/Stimulus to increase the functional coverage for all TX/RX chips and emerging WPC architectures and features.
  • Participate in design reviews and create the necessary design and verification documentation
  • Generation, optimization and verification of behavioral models of analog blocks dedicated to mixed-signal verification
  • Develop and maintain test benches and test vectors using simulation tools and run regressions for coverage analysis and improvements.
  • Co-work with international colleagues on developing new verification flows to take on the challenges in current products and emerging designs.
  • Participate in developing verification methodology and verification environments for current and future WPC products.


Your Profile:

  • University Degree in Electronics Engineering
  • Experience in analog/mixed-signal and system level verification
  • Experience in H/W description languages and methodologies such as Verilog, System Verilog, Verilog-AMS. Knowledge of UVM is a plus.
  • Understand the usage of tools like Virtuoso, Spectre, Simvision, Waveview.
  • Hands on experience in building Spectre testbenches at Block and Fullchip Level.
  • Good scripting skills using perl, python is a plus.
  • Previous work experience in WPC related field or SOCs is a plus
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must possess good communication, debugging skills and ability to work well in a team
