Distribution Sales Manager (f/m/d)

based out of our Munich office in Germany.


As part of our newly established EU Distribution Management Team within our Automotive Strategic Sales Division your responsibility will include creating sales strategies to penetrate targeted application areas, achieving design in/win targets as well as establishing close relationship with our distribution partners and coordinating marketing & sales activities with them in Europe.

Your Role:

  • Business Development:
    • Set distributor design-in and revenue goals.
    • Develop and execute detailed sales strategies driving revenue growth.
    • Forecast Revenue and Design-ins
    • Coordinate with sales/business development resources and cooperation with marketing and technical departments in Europe to support distributors & customers.
  • Focus Customer/Distributor Relationship Development:
    • Establish contacts at multiple levels of focus customer/distributor organization.
    • Build relationships between top management personnel.
  • Reporting:
    • Reporting of new business opportunities.
    • Provide monthly progress report on key projects & activities.
    • Develop, execute, and review distributor strategy with management.


Your Profile:

  • Business Engineering or Business Administration Degree and/or equivalent experience in the described area of responsibility
  • Automotive industry experience and good understanding of automotive requirements, experience in distribution handling highly welcome
  • Ability to develop a business strategy with a set of target customers per distributor aligned with Renesas’ strengths and potential, plan a course of action and set activities in place to support it.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor automotive segment and their applications is preferred.
  • Distribution knowledge and essential team skills, strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with customers, internal BU, product line, peers and management for transparent communication. 
  • Knowledge of the applications within the automotive segment, automotive customers and the distribution market are highly preferred, existing relationships in any of these fields are a bonus
  • Semiconductor basic experience is helpful.
  • Knowledge or past selling experience with MCUs and SoC’s is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: Capable to focus on trends, customer requirements and products to build and develop the automotive distribution business channel in Europe.
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time.
  • Fluent in German and English
  • a sense of humor is required.
