We are seeking a New College Graduate Analog IC Design Engineer for the Industrial/Analog and Power business unit.  In this role, the candidate will work with Senior Analog designers to develop analog and mixed-signal circuits for high-performance switching converters and analog ICs using the Cadence design environment.

 

This position will require a good background in transistor-level analog design, and a general understanding of DC-DC converters.  In-depth knowledge of CMOS, LDMOS, and BJT device operation is a plus, in addition to familiarity with DC-DC topologies such as Buck, Boost, and LDO.

 

The candidate will contribute to all phases of device development, including: Product Definition and Specification, Topology Development, Transistor-Level Design, Bench Testing and Evaluation, and Release to Production.

 

Our team is a global one, and the candidate can expect to have interactions and development tasks including other engineers from Japan, Malaysia, China, as well as several other sites within the US.  Our documentation and discussions are in English, but a familiarity with Japanese or Chinese languages is also a plus.

 

Requirements:

  • MSEE/PhD or BSEE with relevant work experience.
  • A good understanding of Analog Design, including Matching, Temperature effects, AC Stability and compensation, Low Power Design.
  • Preferred candidates have design experience with one or more of the following: Switching Regulators, FET Drivers, LDOs, Precision Amplifiers, Oscillators, Bandgap References, High- Speed Comparators
  • Familiarity with Analog Layout and ESD considerations is a plus
  • Experience working with BCD processes is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Cadence tools is a plus
  • Analytical approach to problem solving is required
  • Good communication skills required
  • Flexible, and able to work cooperatively in team environment
