The Job

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Electrical Engineer or Computer Science Engineer (entry level or with some years industry experience) with hardware and firmware experience to support our battery management SoC’s in Duesseldorf or Munich.

These products protect equipment that contain Lithium batteries in portable equipment such as power tools, electric bikes and other consumer devices. The battery management system (bms) is designed to monitor and protect the battery preventing it from becoming unstable, catching fire and causing harm. Since more devices are becoming portable, this product line is a rapidly growing family and there is much demand from top customers in the industry for this advance technology. The position will support multiple customers in the UK and throughout Europe and be part of a global team.

The candidate should have experience in programming microcontrollers with C, Python or Java. The individual should be able to setup structured libraries and write and modify subroutine calls to control and operate these bms SoC’s to measure and protect packs.  The successful candidate will write the code, complete the programming, testing and debugging of application board for customers. The application engineer will author user guides with the procedures and other documentation needed for the installation and maintenance of application programs.

The individual should demonstrate ability to work independently and in a distributed team environment.

The successful candidate will setup a local laboratory to measure and support these SoC’s and will be part of a larger worldwide senior team.

The individual should be interested in travel to support customers, should work well with people, communicate within cross function teams across the world and be naturally curious about new technical developments.
