Renesas Electronics Europe GmbH is looking for a highly motivated (Senior) Staff Engineer Functional Safety (f/m/d) for our office in Dusseldorf, working in a global multicultural team to strengthen our future products and providing excellent support to our worldwide customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Being a local customer interface for Functional Safety related topics of Renesas hardware and software solutions, including technical support to Renesas clients (Tier1/OEM) and 3rd parties
  • Identification of Functional Safety market trends and safety requirements for Renesas MCU/SoC and software products in close cooperation with design teams and safety managers
  • Definition and consolidation of Functional Safety requirements within a global team
  • Support product requirement specifications, interaction with safety managers and discussions/negotiations with customers

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or physics (Masters preferred)
  • Several years’ experience in electrical engineering and/or design and development for microcontrollers and SoC for Automotive
  • Profound knowledge about Functional Safety, especially ISO 26262 (or IEC 61508)
  • Excellent customer focus with strong communication, presentation and organization skills
  • Ability to work in multicultural global organization, teamwork oriented, structured in work and ability to take initiatives
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
