(Staff) Application System Engineer (f/m/d)


The candidate will report to the Manager of Applications Engineering in Dusseldorf, Germany.


job content:

  • Provide support for Renesas customers related to all aspects of MCU and required solutions
  • Efficient technical support for Renesas marketing/sales team in design activities
  • Be an expert for any MCUs, peripheral and motor control algorithms related topics
  • Lead/drive training and evaluation of Renesas solutions with customers and sales team  
  • Work closely with our core engineering team and build solutions
  • Ability to manage technical projects with partners and design house
  • Create and present training material related to embedded applications and solutions
  • Design embedded firmware, application examples and a proof-of-concept solutions



  • severeal years of experience in developing MCU-based and embedded products/systems
  • Industry experience in motor control and control systems
  • Deep understanding of RTOS concepts and multithreaded programming concepts
  • BS/MS in electronical engineering [specialized in control theory and digital signal processing]
  • Solid embedded programming experience [using C language] is a MUST
  • Good understanding of hardware design and schematic related to microcontroller and power inverters
  • Prior experience with Renesas MCUs and motor algorithm development are plus
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proactive, can-do attitude
  • Travel requirement up to 25%



  • Familiarity with cap touch and eAI
  • Wireless technologies and protocols
  • Experience with IOT technologies including device and cloud connectivity protocols
  • Security protocols and secure software design methods
  • Communication technologies including Ethernet and USB
  • Additional key technologies include Low Power, Security and Safety, Graphics, HMI
