Job Function: Validation Engineer

To support the strong growth and the diversity of our Environmental Sensing products our Sensor Solution team (IISS) is seeking a System Validation Engineer.

You will be responsible for the validating and characterization of the performance of integrated circuits and the functionality of entire systems on a chip (SOCs).

IISS is head-quartered in Dresden and market leader in Sensor Signal Conditioning Solutions and Air Quality Sensing for industrial, medical and IoT applications.

Your Role:

Validation Planning: Setup a validation plan based on the product specification and track validation progress.
Test Bench Development: Design, setup and maintain mechanical & electrical test benches for different products. Develop automated IC characterization programs using the NI PXI bench test system.
Validation Testing: Execute electrical validation and characterization of mixed-signal-ICs and building blocks according to the validation plan. Summarize validation results and generate a product validation report. Support root cause analysis in case of functional or parametric specification compliance issues.
Correlation with ATE: Carry out correlation measurements between automated production test equipment (ATE) and laboratory equipment.
Documentation: Document test bench setups and characterization steps.

Your profile:

Engineering or technician degree in electrical engineering, electronics, physics or related fields
Experience in mixed-signal (analog/digital) semiconductor circuit measurement/characterization
Profound knowledge in measurement techniques and test automation using Python and C#
Ability to design and operate evaluation boards
Well structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working
Strong communication skills, open-minded and ability to work in a team
Fluent in English
