Renesas is looking for an Intern candidate for a Test Engineering position in Bridgewater, NJ.  This position is within our Industrial Power team in the Industrial and Analog Power division of Renesas.  This person will aide in developing software to assist in automating various pieces of lab equipment.  The intern will also gain hands on experience validating our latest industrial products and gain practical experience comparing simulations to real world performance. The intern candidate will interact with engineers in different functions: design, applications, product and test.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create a GUI/Interface using LabVIEW to control various bench top supplies, meters, scopes, etc. 
  • Engage with development teams on new test techniques
  • Product performance correlation
  • ATE test verification
  • Testing of samples/temp characterization
     

Position Requirements:

  • Junior year or higher in Electrical Engineering program
  • Basic understanding of mixed-signal circuits, power electronics and control theories a plus
  • Skilled in the use of simulation tools and office environment software
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Highly motivated and creative individuals preferred
