EMBEDDED DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

 

Our existing System Solutions team are looking for an Embedded Development Engineer. Our products span hardware, software and embedded system applications and we have accrued an industry leading reputation for their excellence. The role is key to ensure we retain this reputation by ensuring that our products are designed to high standards while maintaining appropriate control of the product costs. The ideal candidate will join an interactive team based at our Bourne End office near Maidenhead. The role involves communication with Engineers in other teams; requires experience of developing systems involving hardware and low level software and the ability to rapidly familiarise with the design of the products and development tools.

 

Job content:

•  Negotiating, assessing, and reviewing and detailed and accurate requirements for Embedded Development solutions with our Customers.
 

•  Designing, developing and debugging both Embedded Software and Hardware PCB solutions to detailed requirements.
 

•  Design & development of solutions and device drivers using embedded “C” language.
 

•  Embedded hardware design including Schematic Capture and Supervising PCB Layout.
 

•  Interacting with marketing, verification and world-wide developer teams including front line support engineers and other interested parties throughout the product life cycle.
 

•  Generation of high quality user documentation to support our products.

 

 

Your profile:

•  Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering, or demonstrable equivalent experience
 

•  Excellent oral and written communication skills.
 

•  Experience in designing and implementing embedded hardware from requirements & schematic entry to verification and testing, resulting in high quality, mass production customer products.
 

•  Software development experience implementing ‘C’, and assembler based embedded systems and device drivers.
 

•  Experience of using schematic design tools. Specific tool training will be provided.
 

•  Experience with writing both design and production test specifications.
 

•  Experience of ARM and Renesas based microcontroller devices preferred but not required.
