We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated digital design engineer for RF/mm-wave SoC development. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to develop novel and creative digital control interfaces for mm-wave beamforming front-end products to address the state-of-the-art challenges in the emerging 5G and Satcom markets.  Working closely with mm-wave designers, you will be defining and designing the digital control standards for the next generation beamformer arrays.


Your responsibilities:

Working within the chip lead and mm-wave/RF designer to implement a next-generation beamformer front-end SOCs

• Developing digital micro architecture spec and Verilog RTL

Performing block-level functional simulation/verification

• Performing logic synthesis, timing analysis and timing closure

Writing & releasing test plan, releasing test pattern

Oversee the digital verification process

Bringing up & debugging chip

Performing digital ECO

Supporting Test team, Application team & Firmware team

• Generate a lot of writing as record in bug tracking system as well as documentation

Your duties require the following knowledge and experience:

Verilog/System Verilog experience

EDA tools experience

• RF-SoC experience to contribute to mm-wave SOC design as the digital expert.

 Must be a self-starter who can take on new challenges in SoC design

• Industry standard protocols, such as SPI, I2C, UART, SMPI, SMBUS, AMBA (AHB/APB),

• Experience with controller implementations for memory structures, ADC/DACs, PLLs and various mixed signal blocks

• Excellent communication skill verbally and in writing


Education and/or Experience:

  • The minimum job requirement for this position is BSEE or MSEE with 10+ years of relevant experience. (May consider less years of industry experience with Master or Ph.D.)


  • Experience with FPGA emulation
  • Exposure to embedded firmware
  • Exposure to RF/mm-wave applications (e.g., RF front-end modules or modems)
