The Infrastructure Power team is seeking a senior/staff level Product Marketing Manager to manage Digital Multiphase power products.  This is an excellent opportunity to take a leadership role to grow a high-visibility digital power product family based on best in class products and a strong market presence.  Renesas is a market leader in power management and is well-positioned for continued growth.

 

What we need:

We are looking for a driven, creative and energetic individual with the ability to identify and drive new product opportunities in the Infrastructure power management sector. This person will also help formulate the overall product strategy including the development of product roadmap via interaction with customer base, understanding of existing power IC portfolio and target applications to drive product definition. This position requires strong verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to work across functional disciplines in support of delivering products to the market.  Success requires a clear understanding of DC-DC power conversion and power delivery in complex systems such as servers, network switches, and systems.  Tactical responsibilities include product pricing, margin management, revenue/demand forecasting.  The position requires international travel and will be based out of Austin, TX.

 

What You’ll do

  • Develop cohesive market strategy comprehending product market alignment, resource utilization and market trends to maximize return on the portfolio.
  • Drive design wins to meet revenue commitments.
  • Actively work with sales and business operations to forecast revenue and work with operations planning teams to ensure supply meets demand.
  • Work with sales and applications engineers to generate winning technical proposals by comprehending the true needs of customers and segments.
  • Work closely with the applications, design and field sales/FAE teams to successfully define innovative products and work with a cross-functional team to coordinate and drive all aspects of product development through product launch in addition to product promotion and demand creation.
  • Support field teams in resolving technical and business process related problems.
  • Develop pricing supportive of the corporate annual sales margin objectives.
  • Contribute to development of the annual and strategic operating plan.
  • Stay abreast of market conditions; develop recommendations for product and/or market development.
  • Provide ongoing training/enablement materials to the field.

 

Skills You’ll Need

  • BSEE (or equivalent) required, MS/MBA preferred.
  • 5 to 10+ years industry experience managing and driving business initiatives along with strategic marketing efforts for a power management product line.
  • Strong technical knowledge of DC-DC power conversion for power management applications.
  • Experience with specific ASIC power specifications (such as Intel, AMD, Broadcom etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Must possess business acumen and excellent writing and presentation skills. 
  • Travel required worldwide to engage with the sales force and with customers to promote product and determine future product needs.
