Job Overview:

The Renesas IoT and Infrastructure Business Unit (IIBU) has a very broad range of innovative semiconductor solutions addressing 5G, Cloud Computing, Smart Factory/Home, consumer and industrial applications. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and high-caliber individual with extensive experience in program management and new production introduction.

 

Responsibilities:

This senior level position will be responsible for leading cross functional teams within the IoT and Infrastructure Business Unit to insure successful product launches through early project engagements with marketing, sales and engineering development teams. Additionally, business development and business case development for internal, white labeled, and 3rd party developed IP will be required for some strategic projects. Position will require direct and indirect personnel management as well as travel (<10%).

 

Qualifications:

  • We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and high-caliber individual with extensive experience in program management, new production introduction, and business case development.
  • Bachelor or above degree in Electrical Engineering /Computer Science /Computer Engineering
  • 15+ years of work experience in NPI support for semiconductor products
  • Demonstrated experience with design and validation flows for both front-end and back-end IC development
  • Proven communicator with a track record of delivering technical solutions and satisfying customers
  • Highly experienced and thorough knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing
  • Deep understanding of modern digital, analog, mixed signal IC design flows
  • Experience in developing and modeling business case for new product proposals including internal developments, white labeling, and 3rd party IP developments
  • Excellent team work, communication and interpersonal skills with both internal teams and external tool vendors

 

Responsibilities:

  • This senior level position will be responsible for leading cross functional teams within the IoT and Infrastructure Business Unit to insure successful product launches through early project engagements with marketing, sales and engineering development teams
  • Business case development support from ideation through to safe ramp, market sizing, revenue pricing, costing, and other pertinent financial model development
  • Ability to work with legal, marketing, and 3rd party IP developers and integrate business requirements into business plans
  • Lead NPI and PM workflow improvements and processes to achieve key metrics in NPI execution
  • Manage strategic initiatives within the business unit such pre-silicon verification improvements to reduce GDS re-spins, enhanced test coverage to reduce customer defect rates, EDA tool set standardization for bug tracking and harmonization of best practices between different development teams
  • Concisely and effectively communicate strategic and tactical execution status to executive management and cross functional teams
  • Data mining of historical NPI performance data to improve execution or process paradigms.
  • Strong direct management capabilities to lead teams of individual Program Managers and matrix management experience to influence indirectly managed contributors

 

Specific tasks include:

  • Business case development support from ideation through to safe ramp, market sizing, revenue pricing, costing, and other pertinent financial model development
  • Lead monthly business gate reviews with executive staff
  • Lead NPI and PM workflow improvements and processes to achieve key metrics in NPI execution.
  • Data mining of historical NPI performance data to improve execution or process paradigms.
  • Manage strategic initiatives within the business unit such pre-silicon verification improvements to reduce GDS re-spins, enhanced test coverage to reduce customer defect rates, EDA tool set standardization for bug tracking and harmonization of best practices between different development teams.
  • Concisely and effectively communicate strategic and tactical execution status to executive management and cross functional teams Required Skills and Qualifications:
