This is an Intern position for a qualified individual to work in the Digital Power Management group. This individual will work with a team of design engineers on a family of digital PWM Controller ICs. These are mixed-signal products containing significant analog and digital circuit
content, advanced digital control algorithms and embedded firmware. We are seeking candidates who possess
the skills in these areas and the desire to contribute directly to an ongoing industrial IC product development.


• RTL design using Verilog
o Conduct or participate in
architecture reviews
o Code RTL designs
o Conduct design and verification
o C, Matlab, Perl or Python
programming as needed
• Verification using Verilog and
o Develop behavioral models for
analog content
o Develop and maintain regression
simulations to verify designs are
compliant to spec
o Improve verification/simulation
environment (Perl scripting, etc)
• Logic Backend
o Logic synthesis and timing closure
for IC design
o FPGA synthesis for IC emulation
▪ Scripts and files for IO and
resource mapping
▪ Constraint file
▪ Timing closure
o Gate-level verification
• Lab
o Hands-on evaluation and testing of
design in the lab via FPGA
emulation platforms, engineering
evaluation boards, or customer
• Technical writing
o Design specifications
o Test reports
o Architecture, Design and
Verification reviews


• Candidates must be pursuing a Master’s
degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Digital logic/VLSI design
• Basic understanding of Digital Signal
• Basic understanding of analog circuit
• Experience with Verilog RTL coding
• Programming/scripting skills such as C,
Perl, Python, etc.
• Knowledge of Matlab and Spice is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communications
• Comfortable working with others in a team
environment and take direction
