As car sharing advances, it is predicted that digital keys will spread rapidly as smart phones begin to play the role of car keys. In addition, electric vehicles

are beginning to use wireless battery management systems to reduce wiring harnesses and battery layout flexibility.

To address this rapidly expanding in-vehicle wireless market, we are looking for application engineers to develop reference designs for in-vehicle wireless

systems using UWB and BLE, and to provide technical support to customers.




Renesas' Analog Marketing Division is seeking an Application Engineer for key devices (UWB/BLE/NFC, etc.) for automotive wireless systems such as Digital

Key system and wireless BMS (Battery Management Systems). Possessing advanced and practical knowledge of wireless system concepts and architecture,

and you will work across customers, FAEs, and technical teams to define requirements for new products and applications, develop and evaluate PoC (Proof

of Concept) and reference designs, and provide customer support.

Key responsibilities will include;


- Work with customers, FAEs, and design teams to define requirements for new products and applications.

- Work with system architects and product development teams to define product roadmaps.

- Analyze the strengths of our products against competitors' products and quantify customer value.

- Provide technical support to customer.

- Prepare documentation for technical support.

- Develop and evaluate hardware and software for PoC, reference designs, etc.

- Support demonstrations at exhibition and other events.

- Provide technical training to Sales, FAEs, and customers.

- Write application notes and white papers etc.

[Required Skills and Work Experience]


  - Excellent communication and presentation skills with customers.

  - Analytical thinking, ability to solve technical problems, team spirit.

  - English language skills (speaking, reading, writing)


  - Automotive semiconductor experience.

  - PCB design and layout experience.

  - Knowledge and experience with related software.

  - Experience in signal processing simulation using MATLAB/SIMLINK.

  - Ability to travel as needed.
